University of Pannonia
The University of Pannonia is a significant institution of higher education in the Transdanubian region of Hungary. The programmes offered by the university, which has a considerable professional tradition and a great past, cover nearly all areas of sciences. This multidisciplinary university guarantees unique possibilities to obtain up-to-date knowledge in humanities, economics, engineering, pedagogy, social- and natural sciences, as well as extra-curricular professional and scientific activities. Tutors and researchers succeed in different project applications both in Hungary and in the European Union.
The Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Pannonia contributes to the functioning and improvement of the public and civil society with its high quality education, research and development.
As a student-centred business school, the FBE provides a caring environment and cultivates an open-minded approach and ethical behaviour. By offering research based, practice-oriented education, it prepares graduates who support and create positive change in their communities.
The Faculty of Business and Economics was the first ever faculty to receive the Hungarian Higher Education Quality Award for faculties in 2008.
In 2014 the Faculty reached an important milestone; it became a member of the AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).
The Faculty has a recognised and powerful Doctoral School, in which our excellent professors lead research groups in the field of economics, business and management.
Having recognised the importance of attracting more and more well-known, respected lecturers to the University of Pannonia, the Faculty of Business and Economics is aiming to build strong and long-lasting relationships between tutors by involving them in diverse research cooperation projects as well as inviting them to teach in our programmes. Also, realizing the necessity of making education more real-life based, the University has already taken steps in order to strengthen its relations to companies in its region.

Dr. Beáta Fehérvölgyi
Beáta is the Dean at the Faculty. She is engaged in managing research and development projects, generating new projects, managing public relations with business firms and organisations partnering with the Faculty. Her main research and teaching fields are regional development, development of tourism products, social innovation, and the third mission of universities. She completed her PhD degree in cross–border and transborder relationships in environmental protection and local economy. She wrote several articles in highly prestigious journals on the topics of cross-border co-operation programmes, situation analysis of tourism-related businesses. Due to her participation in various research projects she is expert in analysis of qualitative and quantitative measurements.
Dr Ágnes Raffay-Danyi
Ágnes is an associate professor in the Department of Tourism. Her doctoral research focused on stakeholder involvement in urban tourism development, and she has been interested in destination management and sustainable development project ever since. Her further research areas include tourism policy and planning, sustainable events, visitor and attraction management. Her international project experience includes the Recultivatur international religious tourism project in CEE countries (partner countries: Hungary, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria). She was involved in the Hungarian regional development project Social and environmental sustainability model in the management of the natural and cultural heritage, focusing on the Lake Balaton area as a living space and as a tourism destination. Besides her academic role, she is the Vice-President of the Veszprém Tourism Association, which ensures regular collaboration with tourism practitioners. She has been involved with the European Capital of Culture project Veszprem-Balaton 2023, also as a member of the presentation team and the jury visit team in the application phase of the project.
Dr Katalin Lőrincz
Katalin is an associate professor in the Department of Tourism. She has earned her PhD in cultural tourism, her research areas focus on destination management, cultural tourism, tourism Geography and sustainability. Her international project experience includes the RCA – Lifelong Learning international project for Recreation Assistant Professionals, (partner countries: Hungary, Germany, Slovenia), the Recultivatur international religious tourism project in CEE countries (partner countries: Hungary, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria). She has worked as the DMO manager for Veszprém until 2013, has implemented destination development projects with tourism practitioners in three Hungarian destinations (Veszprém, Kőszeg and Zalaegerszeg), and has been involved with the European Capital of Culture project Veszprem-Balaton 2023. She is a member of the Hungarian Regional Sciences Society.
Dr Zsófia Papp
Zsófia is an associate professor in the Department of Tourism. Her doctoral research focused on regional competitiveness. Her research interests include the role of culture in tourism, destination competitiveness and tourism marketing. Her international project experience includes the Recultivatur international religious tourism project in CEE countries (partner countries: Hungary, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria). She was involved in various Hungarian regional development projects, devising strategic documents and marketing plans for destinations. She is a member of the Hungarian Regional Sciences Society.
Réka Vámosi
Réka (MBA) is a project manager at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Pannonia in Veszprém. During her 24 years of work experience she has played several roles in successful projects of various fields (EU-funded projects, Operational Programs, National Talent Management). She has good ability to adapt to multicultural environments, gained through her work experience. Responsibilities on project management, financial coordination, communication, dissemination were on her shoulder just like elaboration of technical activities. She is also experienced in coordinating international exchange programs (e.g. Erasmus, Leonardo, Campus Hungary). Besides, she is an accredited tour guide for the Veszprém region and host the GreenLike Podcast series.
